In Audiology Research we study methods to improve how we assess and treat hearing and balance disorders. The goal is to lead clinical trials to implement new technology and treatments with the long-term goal of incorporating them into clinical care. Audiology research brings together basic, translational, and clinical research expertise.
Overview
Audiology is the science of hearing, balance, and related disorders. The range of hearing and balance disorders is vast and audiologists at Massachusetts Eye and Ear are at the forefront of developing and improve testing and rehabilitation for patients with these disorders. Audiology Research seeks to transition new technologies and treatments into clinical practice, and to streamline and optimize the care we provide.
