Dr. David Jung Joins Mass. Eye and Ear

BOSTON, MASS. (Jan. 7, 2015) -- David H. Jung, MD, PhD, a board-certified otolaryngologist, has joined Massachusetts Eye and Ear, Boston, to provide the full range of ear care, including chronic ear disease and specialized treatment for severe hearing loss.
Dr. Jung is based at Massachusetts Eye and Ear’s main campus located at 243 Charles Street, Boston.
Dr. Jung received his medical degree and a Ph.D. in Genetics from Harvard Medical School. During that time, he was recognized with a Harvard University certificate of distinction in teaching. He went on to complete his residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in the Harvard Otolaryngology Residency Program and additional fellowship training in otology, neurotology and skull base surgery at Mass. Eye and Ear and Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Jung has a particular clinical interest in skull base disorders, including superior canal dehiscence and tumors, such as acoustic neuromas. His clinical practice also encompasses surgery for chronic ear disease, conductive hearing loss including stapedectomy and bone-anchored hearing aid placement, and cochlear implantation for severe sensorineural hearing loss.
Dr. Jung’s current research focuses on development of novel methods for cochlear drug delivery and understanding mechanisms of noise- and age-related hearing loss.
